To avoid this, you can disable the option of ‘auto download’ media files in WhatsApp. By doing this, whatever you want, the same media file will be downloaded in your phone and the phone space will also be saved. This is the way to clean WhatsApp –
- First of all open WhatsApp and go to Settings
- Then tap on Storage and Data
- Here the option of Manage Storage will appear at the top
- As soon as you tap on Manage Storage, a list of all the chats will appear in front of you.
- Here you can see how much storage is being used in which chat
- Now tap on the chat you want to delete items from
- After this a list of all the items including photos will come in front of you.
- Delete whatever you think is useless in this list
- With this your WhatsApp will be clean and storage space will also increase.
