This is only part of the mystery, however, as some users have spotted a spike in Find My Phone’s battery usage with random warnings. Users have speculated about the cause and are looking for possible fixes to the battery problem, but no clear solutions have emerged.
The good news is, there is nothing to worry about with the announcement. Samsung says this warning is an accident. Basically, someone presses a button they don’t like and sends a public notice during an internal test — no one tries to find your device without your permission, but it’s not clear why it said “1” (probably not, unless you’re actually in arithmetic).
